More about Scaffold Fittings

Altrad Generation supplies a full range of scaffold fittings for the professional market. The range covers scaffold couplers, scaffold clamps and connectors in both drop forged and pressed steel. Scaffold fittings are the connectors that hold a scaffold system together, giving workers a secure and stable platform to operate from safely at height.

Drop Forged Scaffold Fittings: Altrad Generation's drop forged scaffold fittings are manufactured from the highest quality grade of steel. The Drop Forged Double Coupler and Drop Forged Swivel Coupler are fully compliant and tested to BS EN 74-1:2005. The Drop Forged Putlog Coupler is tested to BS1139 2.2:2009. The drop forged range offers extreme strength and value for money.

Pressed Steel Scaffold Fittings

The pressed steel range gives you a strong and economic alternative for standard scaffolding applications. The Pressed Steel Double Coupler and Pressed Steel Swivel Coupler are fully zinc plated and comply with BS EN 74-1:2005. The Pressed Steel Putlog Coupler is also fully zinc plated and complies with BS1139 2.2:2009.

Q. What is the difference between drop forged and pressed steel scaffold fittings?
A. Drop forged scaffold fittings are manufactured from the highest quality grade of steel and are fully compliant and tested for extreme strength. Pressed steel scaffold fittings are fully zinc plated and provide a strong, more economic option for standard applications. Both types comply with the same certification standards: BS EN 74-1:2005 for double and swivel couplers and BS1139 2.2:2009 for putlog couplers. Both ranges are also available in a decorative powder coated finish with company markings for site traceability.

Q. What standards do scaffold fittings need to comply with?
A. In the UK, scaffold couplers and scaffold clamps must meet British and European Standards. Altrad Generation's double couplers and swivel couplers, in both drop forged and pressed steel, comply with BS EN 74-1:2005. Putlog couplers in both ranges comply with BS1139 2.2:2009. All fittings are fully compliant and tested.
