Why Choose the Rhino Load Deck?
Fully Self-Supporting
The Rhino Load Deck does not rely on external or party walls for lateral support. Leg Braces are positioned at corners only, keeping access routes clear and open. A 1.3m spacing between legs provides clearance for a pallet truck.
High Safe Working Loads
The Rhino Load Deck is rated to 600 kg/m² at a maximum height of 3m, 300 kg/m² at a maximum height of 3.5m, and 150 kg/m² at a maximum height of 4m. Used as a trestle platform, the system is rated to 600 kg/m² at a maximum height of 2m. Contact Altrad Generation for trestle heights above 2m.
Built-In Edge Protection
The Leg Joining Support enables the standard leg to be extended to carry a handrail system above the working deck level. Hand Rail Posts insert into the top of the leg to provide fixing brackets for hand rails. The Guard Rail Gate provides controlled access to an exposed edge where a handrail is in use.
Adjustable Platform Heights
Legs are available in seven variants — 500mm, 1000mm, 1500mm, 1800mm, 2000mm, 1800mm Fixed Base and 2000mm Trestle Leg — enabling working deck heights from 0.5m to 4m.
Standard and Heavy Duty Deck Panels
Deck Panels are available in standard and heavy duty variants, in 400mm and 640mm widths, to allow easy configuration of the working platform across any floor layout. Where the floor plan does not conform to the standard panel grid, Make-Up Panels in yellow cover irregular areas, the yellow colour draws attention to the fact that they sit slightly raised.
Usable as a Trestle Platform
The same component set can be erected as a trestle platform for lighter internal access work, rated to 600 kg/m² at a maximum height of 2m. The trestle can be built up to a full working deck as site requirements develop. Contact Altrad Generation for advice on trestle heights above 2m.
Ladder Access
A Ladder Bracket can be fitted to the side of any Rhino Deck structure to allow the safe use of a ladder to reach the working deck.

Compliance and Standards

- BS EN 12811-1 — Temporary Works Equipment
- BS EN 13374 — Temporary Edge Protection Systems
