Altrad Generation’s Anti-Skid Road Plates are designed for safe, temporary trench cover in areas with high pedestrian or vehicular traffic. Manufactured from ¾’ thick steel and coated with a premium anti-skid bauxite surface, these road plates offer both strength and superior slip resistance, critical for maintaining site safety in wet or urban conditions. The high-friction surface is created using 1–3mm Chinese bauxite aggregate bonded with a two-part polyurethane resin system supplied by Jobling Purser, and is Type 1 BBA Approved. This ensures excellent traction underfoot and under tyre, helping to prevent accidents on busy or exposed sites.

Each plate includes four lifting holes for easy transport and positioning, as well as anchor holes to secure it in place after coating. Available in 6’ x 4’ and 8’ x 4’ sizes, these road plates are ideal for streetworks, trenching, utility maintenance, and access over concrete formwork during curing or protection stages. To build a fully compliant Ground Protection and excavation system, pair these Anti-skid road plates with Trench Sheets, Trench Struts, or Groundwork Boxes.
